Learn more about Samsung Health Monitor Blood pressure.
Samsung Health Monitor is a mobile application developed by Samsung Electronics that allows users to monitor their blood pressure using compatible Samsung Galaxy smartphones. By placing a finger on the phone's heart rate sensor, the app calculates and displays blood pressure readings, providing personalized insights and trends over time. It also offers additional health-tracking features like heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and stress management tools. While it's a useful tool, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional for medical advice and diagnosis.
There are no limitations on the number of blood pressure measurements you can take with Samsung Health Monitor, and the app supports continuous measurements.
- When measuring, you should be familiar with the precautions and then follow the guide. (the Drawer menu -> How to use -> Blood Pressure -> Measuring your blood pressure using your Galaxy Watch) In particular, you should avoid drinking, caffeine, nicotine intake, exercise, and bathing within 30 minutes of measurement. If you are measuring according to the guide and there is a constant difference between normal and measured values, consult your doctor.
- Ordinary people may experience changes in blood pressure during the day, and in cases of high blood pressure patients, blood pressure changes may be greater. Therefore, the change in blood pressure values measured at the time of blood pressure measurement is natural. However, if the measurement changes significantly over time, we recommend you consult your doctor. The blood pressure value measured through the Samsung Health Monitor is for reference only. Measurement results should not be used for medical judgment without consulting medical experts.
- After the initial application run, calibration must be performed for measurement. After the last calibration, it must be recalibrated every 28 days, and without calibration, it cannot be measured.
- The recalibration process is as follows: Please press the "View history" button at the bottom of the Home screen of the Health Monitor app. You can re-calibrate by selecting "Re-calibrate" from the More menu (shape with three dots) in the upper-right corner of the screen.
