UHD M8 Monitor connections and ports
There are several ways to connect your HDMI cabel or the USB to Samsung UHD M8 Monitor. In the article below you will find the usage for each port to connect your external device to Samsung UHD M8 Monitor.
Connect to a USB device, such as a keyboard or mouse.
Note: A maximum of 15W charging power is supported. The charging speed may vary, depending on the connected device.
USB Type-C (source) port:
- Connects to a source device using a USB Type-C cable. When connecting a USB Type-C source device, make sure to use the USB Type-C 3.1 Gen2 10G cable so that the screen is displayed properly.
- The USB Type-C port can be connected to a notebook or mobile device for charging
- Use a camera from the PC connected to the USB Type-C port.
Note:
- Lower version cables do not support the video input function (Displayport ALT).
- A maximum of 65 W charging power is supported. The charging speed may differ, depending on the device connected to the product.
Micro HDMI: Connects to an external device using the HDMI cable supplied by Samsung (which is a High Speed HDMI certified cable).
Micro HDMI: Connects to an external device using the HDMI cable supplied by Samsung (which is a High Speed HDMI certified cable).
