How can I stop the drying course during operation in Samsung washing machine?
Sometimes you may need to stop the drying course during the operation because of an appointment or some other reason. Please follow the guide below. Take extra care when handling the dryer because your appliance may be extremely hot, especially right after the drying cycle.
Cautions
- It is not recommended to stop the drying course during operation. If there are no urgent reasons to do so, it is recommended to allow proceed until the course to finish.
- To stop the drying course before the cycle is finished, press the power switch to turn the dryer off. The cycle will be stopped, and the course will end.
- For safety reasons, the operation cycle does not stop right away, even if you turn the power off.
- If you end the drying cycle early, the drying result may not be satisfactory (your clothes may still be damp.)
- For best results, follow the load size recommendations for each dry cycle.
- Sensor cycle courses may increase or decrease the time depending on the dryness of the load.
- The manual cycle course should only operate for the set time.
How to stop the drying course of the washer dryer
- You can stop the drying operation by pressing the Power button. The operation will be stopped. However, for safety reasons, the appliance will not stop immediately.
- The ‘HOT’ sign will appear on the appliance display and the cooling pan will be operated until the dryer temperature is below 50 degrees.
- The power turns off automatically when the temperature cools below 50 degrees.

How to stop the drying course in a tumble dryer
- You can stop the drying operation by pressing the Power button. The operation and the appliance will be stopped.
- When you turn the appliance off during the drying operation, the tumbler inside is extremely hot. Therefore, it needs extra care when touching the door.
- Be careful when taking the clothes out after drying. Any metal (zippers, hooks, and eyelets) on the clothes may extremely hot and can result in burns.
- A dryer with the door lock function will be shut down with a locked door when you turn the appliance off during operation. In this case, the door will only be opened when you turn the power back on.
