How fast is the Live Translate feature, Is it instant, or does it follow the speaker's speech when there are pauses?

The Live translator follows the speaker's speech when the speaker pauses. You also have the option for both/either/neither caller(s) to hear the speaker’s speech followed by the translation, or only hear the translation.
