How to Change the power key function

Samsung phones offer various customization options, including changing the function of the power key. By adjusting the settings, you can assign a different function to the key, like launching an app or taking a screenshot.
Customizing Side Key

To access your preferred settings, go to Settings and open Advanced features. Next, select Side key and make your desired adjustments from there.

For Double Press.
Quick launch camera
Open app (Tap the Settings icon to select an app.)

For Press and hold.
Wake Bixby
Power off menu (You can also use the Quick settings panel or Bixby to turn off your phone).
Customizing Bixby Key

In case you prefer not to use the Bixby key to activate Bixby, you have the option to assign a different function to the key, such as opening an app that you frequently use.

Open Bixby Assistant Home by pressing the Bixby key.

After that, select the Menu option (which is represented by three horizontal lines), and proceed to choose the name of the device that you want to use.

Select Bixby key settings by tapping Settings, then Bixby key, and choosing an option.

Choose between single or double press to open Bixby. Double press the Bixby key for another app or quick command if you select the single press option, and vice versa.

To illustrate, if you want to use the single press option to open Bixby, simply tap on Double press to open Bixby and select Use single press. After that, toggle the switch and pick an app or quick command to activate when you single press the Bixby key.
Note:
- This function may be turned off when you reset Bixby or deactivate the chosen app or quick command.
