When the remote control isn't working, these steps may help resolve the problem.

The remote control does not work.

The connection between the remote control and the TV may be lost. Point the Samsung Smart Remote at the front of the TV, and then press and hold theand  buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds or more. Also, if the remote control does not work properly or its response is very slow, the battery might be low or dead.

• Charge the remote control by using the USB port (C-type) on the bottom of it, or turn over the remote in direct light to expose the solar cell on the back.

You can check the remaining battery of the Samsung Smart Remote with a solar cell by performing the following steps:

> Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Available Remote Battery.

• If the remote control has batteries, replace them with new ones.

External devices cannot be operated with the TV remote control.

Check the cable connection between the TV and the external devices.
If the symptom persists, set it manually from > Menu > Connected Devices > Universal Remote Setup.
