I have been using a screen protector film that came with my purchase.

I have been using Samsung’s genuine protective films. To register new fingerprints after the software update, do I need to remove this protective film?

For security enhancement, please use your device without the front cover when registering your fingerprint regardless of its origin. So after the update, you may not be able to register or scan your fingerprints if you use a *screen cover in 

addition to the silicone cover.

* Especially any screen cover with a bumped or dotted pattern including dome glass, protective cover, 3rd party protective film, etc
