Warranty Policy

Warranty Terms

 

1. Proof of purchase is a pre-requisite to claim warranty.

2. Repairs under warranty period shall be carried out by the company authorized personnel only. The details of service centers / support required are available at the company website https://117.p.syniva.es/bd/support/service-center/ or in the centralized helpline BD website (08000300300/ 09612300300 from Mobiles & Land Lines).

3. For units installed beyond the municipal limits of the jurisdiction of the company's Authorized Service Center, it is responsibility of the purchaser to contact the nearest authorized service center and bring the unit to the authorized service center at purchaser's cost and risk.

4. Calls registered with the centralized helpline / Authorized Service Center, wherein only cleaning of the unit / parts in the unit due to dust gathering on portions of the unit, general explanations / returning, particular software not being read / installed, are not to be construed as defects. The company does not undertake responsibility on the quality of software being used by purchaser.

5. In the event of repairs of any part/s of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. The time taken for repair and in transit whether under the warranty or otherwise shall not be excluded from the warranty period.

6. In case of any damage to the product / misuse detected by the authorized service center personnel, the warranty conditions are not applicable and repairs will be done subject to availability of parts and on chargeable basis only.

7. In the event of any unforeseen circumstance, and spares not being available, the company’s prevailing depreciation rules will be binding on the purchaser to accept as a commercial solution in lieu of repairs.

8. In the event of the company offering EXTENDED WARRANTY period for any specific product / period, it is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PURCHASER to get the warranty card duly registered with the nearest Authorized Service Center of the company within 2 weeks of purchasing under such an offer, at the purchaser’s cost and risk only.

9. Repairs during warranty period shall be carried on "Carry In" basis. Wherein for service the purchaser shall bring the product to the Service Center with whom the set is registered for warranty service. The warranty does not cover cost of transportation of system from place of installation to the Service Center.

10. While carrying out repair, Samsung may use accessories or parts that are new or refurbished or reconditioned.

11. Samsung shall not be liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage that may result from use or inability to use the product. Under no circumstances shall Samsung be liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage exceeding the purchase price of the product.

 

THIS WARRANTY IS NOT APPLICABLE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CASES

 

1. The product is not purchased from an Authorized SAMSUNG sales dealer.

2. The product purchased is not used according to instructions given in the INSTRUCTION MANUAL, as determined by the authorized service center / company personnel.

3. Defects caused by improper use, as determined by the Authorized Service Center / Company personnel.

4. Warranty shall be void if product has failed under certain conditions/types(example: Waterlogging, misuse etc.)

5. Modification or alterations of any nature made in the circuitry by the purchaser or unauthorized personnel, as determined by the company personnel.

6. Site (premises where the product is kept) conditions that do not confirm to the recommended operating conditions of the machine/unit.

7. The original serial number is removed, obliterated or altered from the product.

8. Defects due to causes beyond control like lightning, abnormal voltage, acts of God or while in transit to service center or to the purchaser's residence.

9. Defects caused by household pets, rats, cockroaches or any other animals or insects.

10. Under no circumstance the company is liable for loss directly or indirectly for any of the following: 

• Third party claims against customer for losses or damages.

• Loss or damages to records, information or data.

• Economic consequential damages including lost profits.

• Customer is advised to take back up for hard disk contents before handing over the unit for repair. The company shall not provide hard disk backup service.

• In case of repair, hard disk contents may be destroyed and customer will not be informed in advance. The company shall not be liable for any data, records or program lost due to repair.

11. Warranty does not cover any third party software, settings, content, data or links, whether included/'- DOWNLOADed in product.

12. Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear (including, without limitation, wear and tear of camera lenses, batteries or displays).

13. Warranty does not cover defects or alleged defects caused by the fact that the product was used with, or connected to, a product, accessories, software and/or service not manufactured, supplied or authorized by SAMSUNG or was used otherwise than for its intended use, Defects can be caused by viruses from your or from third party is unauthorized access to services, other accounts, computer systems or networks. This unauthorized access can take place through hacking, password-mining or through a variety of means.

14. Warranty does not cover defects caused by the fact that the battery has been short-circuited or by the fact that the seals of the battery enclosure or the cells are broken or show evidence of tampering or by the fact that the battery has been used in equipment other than those for which it has been specified.

 

Overseas Product

 

Any product which is either purchased from outside the territory of Bangladesh as a direct purchase or the products that are not sold by Samsung in Bangladesh will be termed as “Overseas Product(s)”. Such Overseas Products can be repaired at the Samsung Service Centers with cost, however this may vary from product to product. There may be some overseas products which will be non-repairable in Bangladesh.

• Before handing over the product at the service center, you need to check whether the product is repairable or not.

• Check the repair cost and repair time at the service center before handing over the product as the repair may take a bit longer than usual.

• You will have to incur the entire cost of repair at the rates informed by the service center.

• Samsung shall not be liable to repair the products including large size products such as TV Panels, Refrigerator door, etc. for which either the parts are not available or are not being produced any more by Samsung.

• Further, any such Overseas Product will be non-repairable, if there is severe difference, in terms of product specification or if there is difference in the service environment such as difference of bandwidth, voltage, etc. and no claims will be entertained in this regard.

 

Defective Product – Applicable Policy (Mobile, Tablets and Wearables)

 

1.  Where a customer finds that a product is not functioning: upon opening of the Product Box within 7 days from the date of purchase, in case of wearables; or within 7 days of product activation in case of Mobile phones/Tablets, the Customer may visit any Samsung Authorized Service Center for due redressal with product along with the original brand box, all in-box accessories and original invoice.

2. The product will be thoroughly checked at the Samsung Authorized Service Center as per Samsung  approved technical parameters and policies . Post assessment and confirmation of genuine manufacturing defect, if any, by the Samsung Authorized Service Center, the product may be replaced or in case  of unavailability of stock of same or similar  product, a refund  or Samsung product purchase coupon, equivalent to the consideration paid by the customer for purchasing the product will be provided to the customer, as per facts & circumstances and in terms of  applicable Samsung policy(ies).

Warranty Terms

4. The company or its authorized service Center/ service dealer, reserves the right to retain any part/s or component/s replaced at its discretion in the event of a defect noticed in the equipment during the warranty period.

5. Warranty for the unexpired period shall continue after the product is inspected by the concerned service Center and the product is found free from transit damage. The customer shall have to pay a visiting charge towards inspection, as applicable. 6c. In case of any transit damage, the product shall be repaired by the concerned service Center on charges and warranty for unexpired period to continue.

6. Free Installation or Demo is available for SELECTED TV MODELS and the same can be availed only once and within 6 months from date of purchase. For some TV models, installation might be chargeable and details with respect to the same can be checked from Samsung Service Center / Call Center.

7. The company's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or providing replacement of part/s only. The maximum claim /s if entertained by the company will be subject to the maximum retail price of the product purchased or the purchase price, whichever is lower.

8. In the event of any unforeseen circumstance, and spares not being available, the company's prevailing depreciation rules will be binding on the purchaser to accept as a commercial solution in lieu of repairs.

9. In case of a defective accessory, only the accessory will be repaired or replaced.

10. All disputes arising out of this warranty are subject to Bangladesh jurisdiction only.

11. The company's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or providing replacement of part/s, which are found to be defective.

12. The concerned Service Center will advise the customer whether to effect the repair at site or its Service Center.

13. In the event of the company offering EXTENDED WARRANTY period for any specific product / period, it is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PURCHASER to get the warranty card duly registered with the nearest Authorized Service Center of the company within 2 weeks of purchasing under such an offer, at the purchaser’s cost and risk only.

14. Any part/s of the system replaced by the company at its discretion shall be with a functionally operative part.

15. Applicable Service charges may be different for products purchased out side Bangladesh ( Other than Bangladesh ).

16. While carrying out repair, Samsung may use accessories or parts that are new or refurbished or reconditioned.

17. Defects caused by household pets, rats, ants, cockroaches or any other animals or insects.

18. Defects arising out of the following are not covered under warranty- Improper ventilation, Improper voltage, Use of external material, Physical damage and Electrical damage caused by physical impact.

19. Defects caused due to exposure to moisture/dampness/extreme thermal or environmental conditions or rapid changes in such conditions / corrosions/ Oxidation/ spillage of food/ liquid/ influence of chemical substances.

20. Use of power stabilizers of proper rating is necessary unless explicitly mentioned by Samsung on product literature/instruction booklet.

21. The duly filled warranty card/proof of purchase is not presented to the service engineer at the time of repairs being undertaken or requested.

THIS WARRANTY IS NOT APPLICABLE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CASES

 

 

1. Repair due to misuse/third party repair attempts are not covered in warranty.

2. Warranty does not cover repair due to external factors/medium/data types.

3. If the product is not used as per its usage specifications(example: Personal, Commercial etc.)

4. If the product has failed under certain conditions/types(example: Waterlogging, Misuse etc.)

5. The original serial number is removed, obliterated or altered from the machine or cabinet.

6. Defects due to cause beyond control like lightning, abnormal voltage, acts of God or while in transit to service Center or purchaser's residence.

 

Overseas Product

 

Any product which is either purchased from outside the territory of Bangladesh as a direct purchase or the products that are not sold by Samsung in Bangladesh will be termed as “Overseas Product(s)”. Such Overseas Products can be repaired at the Samsung Service Centers with cost, however this may vary from product to product. There may be some overseas products which will be non-repairable in Bangladesh.

• Before handing over the product at the service center, you need to check whether the product is repairable or not.

• Check the repair cost and repair time at the service center before handing over the product as the repair may take a bit longer than usual.

• You will have to incur the entire cost of repair at the rates informed by the service center.

• Samsung shall not be liable to repair the products including large size products such as TV Panels, Refrigerator door, etc. for which either the parts are not available or are not being produced any more by Samsung.

• Further, any such Overseas Product will be non-repairable, if there is severe difference, in terms of product specification or if there is difference in the service environment such as difference of bandwidth, voltage, etc. and no claims will be entertained in this regard.

3. In the event of repairs/replacement of any part/s of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. Moreover, the time taken for repair/replacement and in transit whether under the warranty or otherwise shall not be excluded from the warranty period.

4. The company or its authorized service Center/ service dealer, reserves the right to retain any part/s or component/s replaced at its discretion in the event of a defect noticed in the equipment during the warranty period.

5. Warranty for the unexpired period shall continue after the product is inspected by the concerned service Center and the product is found free from transit damage. 11. The company's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or providing replacement of part/s, which are found to be defective.

12. The concerned Service Center will advise the customer whether to effect the repair at site or its Service Center.

13. In the event of the company offering EXTENDED WARRANTY period for any specific product / period, it is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PURCHASER to get the warranty card duly registered with the nearest Authorized Service Center of the company within 2 weeks of purchasing under such an offer, at the purchaser’s cost and risk only.

18. Defects caused by household pets, rats, ants, cockroaches or any other animals or insects.

19. Defects arising out of the following are not covered under warranty- Improper ventilation, Improper voltage, Use of external material, Physical damage and Electrical damage caused by physical impact.
