Use Wireless PowerShare on your Galaxy Book Flex or Galaxy Book Ion
So, your phone or wearable battery is running low and you don’t have a charger or cable in hand? Don’t fret! Just charge your mobile device wirelessly right on the trackpad. Simply press the Fn + F11 keys to charge your phone or wearable using your laptop.
Information provided applies to devices sold in Canada. The Wireless PowerShare feature is only available on Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion.
- Wireless PowerShare is limited to Samsung or other brand smartphones with WPC Qi wireless charging, such as Galaxy S20 5G, S20+ 5G, S20 Ultra 5G, Z Flip, Note10, Note10+, Fold, S10e, S10, S10+, S9, S9+, S8, S8+, S8 Active, S7, S7 edge, S7 Active, S6, S6 edge, S6 Active, S6 edge+, Note9, Note8, and Note5.
- Wireless PowerShare is limited to Samsung wearables such as Galaxy Watch Active2, Galaxy Watch Active, Gear Sport, Gear S3, Galaxy Watch, and Galaxy Buds.
- If your laptop’s battery power is lower than 30%, the Wireless PowerShare feature may not function.
- Wireless Power Share may not work with certain accessories, covers, or other brand devices. It is recommended to remove any accessories and cover being used before using this feature.
- When the Wireless Power Share feature is on, the touchpad will not work.
The location of the wireless charging coil may vary by device model. Adjust the devices to connect with each other properly. When charging starts, a notification sound or vibration will occur.
Alternatively, disconnect the other device from your computer. After disconnecting the charged device from the touchpad, the Wireless Power Share feature will automatically turn off after a minute.
- Do not place the device on the touchpad with a credit card or radio-frequency identification card (such as a transportation card or a key card) placed between the touchpad and the other device.
- Do not place the device on the touchpad when conductive materials, such as metal objects and magnets, are placed at the back of the device to be charged. The device may not charge properly or may overheat, or the device may be damaged.
- Only devices that support the wireless charging feature can be charged using this feature. Some devices may not be charged.
- To charge properly, do not move or use either device while charging.
- The power charged to the other device may be less than the amount shared to it by your computer.
- If you charge the other device while charging your computer, the charging speed may decrease or the device may not charge properly depending on the charger type.
- The charging speed or efficiency may vary depending on the computer’s condition or the surrounding environment.
- If the remaining battery power drops below a certain level, power sharing will stop.
