Automatic Control Lock: This feature automatically locks control panels located inside the refrigerator or on the top of a door after 1 minute of inactivity. To unlock it, simply touch and hold the Door Alarm button until you hear a chime; this usually takes about 3 seconds.
Dispenser Lock: Found on select models, Dispenser Lock disables the water and ice dispenser while allowing other parts of the control panel to function. Refer to your model's user manual for specific instructions.
For Family Hub fridges, you can adjust Dispenser Lock settings from the panel. Tap Apps, then Fridge Manager, followed by Fridge Settings. To unlock the dispenser, tap Lock next to Dispenser Lock. If it says “Unlock” next to Dispenser Lock, the dispenser is currently unlocked.
Child Lock (Control Lock): Some refrigerators feature a child lock (control lock) that simultaneously locks the control panel and the dispenser. These locks are typically located outside the refrigerator. To lock or unlock, hold Ice Maker Off until you hear a chime (approximately 3 seconds).
Unlocking your Samsung refrigerator's control panel allows you to make adjustments with ease, ensuring that your fridge operates as desired without unintended disruptions.
