Galaxy Buds do not recognize your touch
There are a few reasons why your Galaxy Buds may not recognize your touch when you are performing touchpad commands. For example, the touchpads may have been accidentally locked or you may not be wearing the earbuds correctly. You can unlock the touchpads in the Galaxy Wearable app, review how to properly wear your Galaxy Buds, and check for software updates.
Note: Information provided applies to devices sold in Canada. Available screens and settings may vary for earbuds sold in other countries.
If your earbuds' touchpads have been locked in the Galaxy Wearable app, you will not be able to use the touchpad commands.
You can fix this by navigating to and opening the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone. Tap Touchpad, or touch and hold if you are using Galaxy Buds Pro.
Then, tap the switch next to "Block touches" to turn it off to unlock the touchpad.
Check that you are wearing your earbuds properly and that the sensors are making contact with your ears.
You can also try restarting your earbuds. If this does not work, you can try completely resetting your Galaxy Buds.
You can check for software updatesthrough the Galaxy Wearable app, or through a computer if you are using Galaxy Buds or Galaxy Buds+.
Note: Read our guide to troubleshoot any software update issue if required.
