Set up Game Launcher and use the gaming options on your Galaxy phone
From pixelated classics to virtual reality, gaming has come a long way. Your phone can offer even more opportunities to explore your favorite digital worlds. The Game Launcher houses all your gaming apps and includes settings to improve your gaming experience.
Information provided applies to devices sold in Canada. Available screens and settings may vary for smartphones sold in other countries.
Before you get too excited and rush into your game, let's set up the Game Launcher. It should be on by default, but you should always double-check just in case.
From Settings, search for and select Game Launcher. Then, tap the switch to turn it on if needed.
Next, open Game Launcher from the Apps screen. Review the information, and then tap Agree. If you want to add the Game Launcher icon to your Home screen, touch and hold the icon and then tap Add to Home. Review the marketing information and select your desired preference, and then tap Start. Review the following information, and then tap Hide games. Game app icons will now be displayed in the Game Launcher.
If Game Launcher is not available in the Settings menu, you must install and launch a game first.
Whether you are playing an RPG or a simple puzzle game, there are many tools to help you game on.
Navigate to and open your desired gaming app. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or the right side if you are in Landscape mode), and then tap the Game Booster icon on the lower left-hand side of the screen. If it’s your first time using Game Booster, tap Start. Then select and use your desired settings.
- The Pop-up panel: Get fast access to outside apps. Change the four apps in the panel by tapping the More options icon (the three vertical dots). Tap the Remove icon by the app, and then select apps you want on the panel.

Game Booster may not be available for all games.
