Cameras on the Galaxy S21 5G series

Single take on your Galaxy S21 5G will let you snap several photos at once. You can set the timer between 5 seconds and 15 seconds depending on what you are trying to capture. You will also be able to choose the type of photos you want, like Wide/cropped shots and Portraits. As with previous versions of Single take, you will get a short video clip with your new photos, too.

The Director’s view and Dual recording features work together to give you a streamlined video of yourself and your surroundings. Not only can you record where you are, but you can capture yourself with the selfie camera to share reactions with your viewers. Director’s view can be used by itself as well if you would like to record your environment only.

The Live Focus feature on previous Galaxy devices has been replaced with Portrait mode on Galaxy S21 5G devices. Both versions are similar, but Portrait mode offers new effects and filters to truly enhance your photos and selfies. For example, the Studio filter will add a brightening effect to your subject to help contrast the background, and the Spin filter will create a spinning effect around the subject. Portrait mode can be used with videos as well.

The Zoom feature, known as Space Zoom on the Galaxy S21 5G series, lets you focus on a subject from far away. The Galaxy S21 5G also includes a stabilizing AI option to prevent your zoomed-in images from becoming blurry or shaky. The result is a detailed and colorful photo.

Night mode is perfect for taking bright, illuminated photos at nighttime or in dimly lit areas. This feature will not use the camera’s flash and will instead capture extra light using the sensors. You will not need to worry about your photos looking washed out or dull, and no matter what you are capturing, your pictures will come out crisp and clear.

Pro video allows you to record smooth, blur-free 8K-quality videos. You can also adjust which mic on your phone (front, back, etc.) will record audio if you need to capture specific sounds and dialogue. Once your recording is complete, you can show it off on a social media app or your smart TV.

If you want to capture and slow down fast-moving actions, you can use the Super Slow-mo feature. It will create a high-quality, slow motion video at 960 frames per second, so you can see every detail of the action. You can also adjust how Super Slow-mo captures the scene by controlling the camera with Manual mode or letting the camera detect motion with Auto mode.
