Control PowerPoint presentations with your Samsung smartwatch
When you are delivering a PowerPoint presentation worth half your grade, you should do you best to impress the teacher. We have the perfect solution: control the presentation using a watch like the Galaxy Watch Active2 instead of the arrow keys on your laptop. You can open a presentation, control slides, and set alerts all with your watch.
Note: Information provided applies to devices sold in Canada. Available screens and settings may vary for smartwatches sold in other countries.
That is right, you can use your smartwatch to transition between slides instead of your computer. From the watch, press the Power key, and then navigate to and tap PPT Controller. Tap CONNECT. Next, navigate to the Bluetooth settings on your computer and add the watch as a Bluetooth device.
Now that you are connected, you can control your slides. Open a PowerPoint presentation on your computer, and then from the watch, tap SLIDESHOW. Control the slides by tapping the left and right arrows.
You can also control your mouse from the watch by tapping TOUCHPAD. This feature is not just limited to PowerPoint - you can literally use your watch as a mouse.
If you are not great with timing while you are presenting, you can set Wrap-up alerts or Interval alerts, so you know when to move things along.
On the smartwatch, press the Power key, and then navigate to and tap PPT Controller. Tap the More options icon, and then select Wrap-up alert or Interval alerts.
- Wrap-up alert: Create an alert for the end time of the presentation.
- Interval alerts: Set alerts in 5-minute increments.
