Step by step guide to transfer data wirelessly during initial device set up. Android to Galaxy
Data transfer during Galaxy setup - Transfer via wirelessly from Android device
Step 1
Easy setup with another device. Click "Galaxy or Android Device"
Step 2
On your previous Galaxy or Android device "Set up your Galaxy" will appear on screen.
Click "Set Up"
Step 3
Scan the QR code on your new Galaxy using your old device's camera.
Step 4
"Continue device setup process on your new device" will appear on your previous Galaxy device.
Step 5
Your new Galaxy will begin processing and cycling through
"Getting your phone ready..."
"Checking info..." and
"Getting account info...".
Please allow a few minutes for this to process.
Step 6
Your new Galaxy will ask for your verification by inputting your previous device's lock screen passcode, password, pin, or pattern for verification.
Step 7
"Copy data from your Android device" will appear.
Click "Next".
Step 8
"Get started with Smart Switch".
Click "Next"
Step 9
"Smart Switch uses these permissions" will appear.
Click "Allow"
Step 10
"Transfer your data. Choose Wireless or Cable." will appear.
Click "Wireless"
Step 11
Your devices will begin processing and cycling through
"Connecting to transfer your data..."
"Connected to your device" and
"Searching for data to transfer".
Please allow a few minutes for both devices to scan and process (devices will higher storage usage may take longer).
Step 12
Select data to transfer" will appear.
Choose between:
1. "Everything"
2. "Calls, Contacts, and Messages"
3. "Custom".
After making desired selection Click "Next"
Step 13
Transfer Process will begin.
Please allow time for the process to complete.

Step 1

Using the included USB-C charging cable. Connect your new Galaxy and previous Galaxy or Android device by plugging each end into the device charging port.
Step 12
Your devices will begin processing and cycling through
"Connecting to transfer your data..."
"Connected to your device" and
"Searching for data to transfer".
Please allow a few minutes for both devices to scan and process (devices will higher storage usage may take longer).
Step 13
Select data to transfer" will appear.
Choose between:
1. "Everything"
2. "Calls, Contacts, and Messages"
3. "Custom".
After making desired selection Click "Next"
Step 14
Transfer Process will begin.

1. Track your battery usage= Settings > Device Care > Battery > Battery Usage.
2. Adjust your screen timeout time and turn on adaptive brightness.

Why are my photos brighter in corners of the screen?Samsung AMOLED displays have a film acting as an external light shield to protect key internal components.
As a result, the brightness of these areas may look different when the screen is left on for a long time. Please allow a certain period of time after turning off the screen for these symptoms to disappear. -
What is Adaptive Colour Tone Feature?Adaptive Colour Tone feature is a colour optimization function that adjusts colour and white balance features on the fly based on external conditions. Some of these conditions includes ambient brightness and environmental lighting conditions to ensure your display looks as natural as possible.

Fast Charging/Super fast charging doesn't appear after upgrading to One UI 4.1.1.Since charging speeds change rapidily due to enviromental factors, the latest One UI 4.1.1. update has made changes to the fast charging notification. Fast Charging or Super Fast Charging will now appear during the initial charging phase but then disappear to reduce screen real estate.
To check what speed your device is currently charging at, please visit the Device Care menu.

Why did my Samsung account log out automatically after upgrading to One UI 4.1.1.With the latest One UI 4.1.1 launch being a large update, Samsung accounts may automatically be logged out.
Please re-login to your Samsung account and you will be able to continue as before.
