The smartphone screen indicates that it detects a 75" Neo QLED 8K TV in the living room through SmartThings. The icon for the remote control option is selected. The smartphone screen transforms into a touchable remote control screen. When the volume is turned up on the smartphone remote control, the TV speaker volume is turned up in response. FAQ:
All About Samsung Screen Mirroring

  • What is Screen Mirroring?

Screen mirroring lets you mirror your phone’s screen to a bigger screen, like on a Smart TV. Exactly what’s showing on your phone will appear on the TV, whether it’s an app, a photo or a video. Whenever you do something on your phone, that action will also be shown on the other screen as well.
  • Note: Make sure your TV is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone. Your phone must support a mirroring function, such as Screen Mirroring or Smart View. To check if your phone supports a mirroring function, please refer to your phone's user manual. SmartView is not a downloadable app; it is located in the Quick settings panel on your phone.

On Galaxy devices, the screen mirroring feature is called Smart View.

    1. On your phone, open the Quick settings panel by swiping down from the top of the screen.
    2. Tap the Smart View icon.
    3. Tap your TV from the list of Available devices.
    4. Tap Start now.
(Note: If prompted, enter the PIN on your TV or allow access on your TV to complete the connection.)
    5. Your phone’s screen will now appear on the TV.
(Note: You may be prompted to change the aspect ratio on the TV. Tap Change on your phone if desired.)

For iOS devices, the screen mirroring feature is called AirPlay, and it does the same exact thing - mirror images, videos and other media. Using AirPlay is similar to using Smart View, but there are a few differences.

    1. On your iPhone, open the Control Center by swiping down from the top right of the screen.
    2. Tap the Screen Mirroring icon.
    3. Select your TV from the list of Available devices.
    4. When the pop-up appears, enter the AirPlay Code displayed on the TV screen into your iPhone.
    5. Your phone’s screen will now appear on the TV.

Multi View lets you split screens and view several types of content at the same time. (Note: The number of available views and supported apps/sources depends on the TV model and can be updated without notice. The Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN900/800 series support up to 4 split screens. Requires Samsung account.)

You can view multiple content items through Multi View.
    1. From the Home screen, press left on the remote.
    2. Navigate to and select Settings.
    3. Navigate to and select Multi View.
    4. Your previous media source will be displayed. Choose sources you want to add to Multi View.
    5. A second window will be added. To add more content to the screen, press the down button on your remote. Select an app/source to add or delete.
