How to use Multi Control on a 2025 Samsung Smart Monitor or TV

Multi Control lets you use a mouse and keyboard to control multiple Samsung devices. You can copy and paste or drag and drop content between your Samsung Smart Monitor, Smart TV, Galaxy phone, Galaxy tablet, and Galaxy Book PC. You can start the connection from your Smart Monitor or Galaxy Book and use Multi Control across supported devices.

To use Multi Control, ensure your devices support the feature and meet the setup conditions.

 

Supported Samsung models:

  • 2025 Smart Monitor: M90SF, M80F, M70F
  • 2025 Smart TV: U8000F or above
  • Galaxy phones and tablets: Requires updated Galaxy phones and tablets with One UI 5.1.1 or above 
  • Galaxy Book series devices: Released in 2021 or later with Samsung Settings v1.5(Intel) or Samsung Settings v3.3 (ARM)

 

Requirements for connection:

  • All devices should be signed in with the same Samsung Account
  • Devices need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network
  • Bluetooth should be enabled on all devices
  • The Multi Control feature needs to be turned on for each device
  • A mouse and keyboard should be connected to at least one device

Note:

  • Some features, such as Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop, may not be available depending on the device model or app.
  • The Internet app supports Multi Control on Samsung Smart TVs and Smart Monitors, but some web pages may not be compatible because of limitations or restrictions.
  • Feature availability may vary by region and is not provided in China.
  • Availability and implementation timing for models released in 2023 and 2024 may vary depending on the OS upgrade policy.

Set up Multi Control by turning on the feature from your Smart Monitor, Smart TV, Galaxy phone, tablet, or Galaxy Book.


On a 2025 Samsung Smart TV or Smart Monitor:

Step 1. Press the Home button on your TV's remote control, navigate to and select Settings, and then select All Settings.

Step 2. Select Connection > Multi Control.

Step 3. Select Multi Control again to turn it on. The switch will turn blue when enabled. Then, select OK.

On Galaxy phones and tablets:

Step 1. Open Settings > Connected devices.

Step 2. Turn on Multi Control.

You can now connect your Samsung Smart TV, Smart Monitor, Galaxy phone, and Galaxy tablet from your Galaxy Book. Open Samsung Settings on your Galaxy Book, then select Connected Devices, and then select the devices you want to connect to. If you want to start connecting from your Smart Monitor, please see the next section for instructions.

Note: Screen images may vary depending on your software version, model, and region.

You can also use your Smart Monitor as the main control point to connect and manage other Samsung devices.

Step 1. Press the Home button on your TV's remote control, navigate to and select Settings, and then select All Settings.

Step 2. Select Connection > Multi Control

Note: You can also go to Settings and select Multi Control directly to turn Multi Control on.

Step 3. Select a device to connect, and then select OK. Once connected, the device will show as Connected. If it is not detected, check if the device is supported and meets the requirements listed in the first section of this article.

Step 4. To adjust the layout, drag the device on the screen using your mouse.

You can now use your Smart Monitor's keyboard and mouse to control connected Galaxy phones, Galaxy tablets, and Smart TVs. You can also register and connect these devices from your Galaxy Book by opening Samsung Settings, selecting Connected Devices, and then choosing the devices you want to control.

Note

  • You can connect up to three Multi Control devices to a Smart Monitor.
  • To connect a Galaxy Book, go to Samsung Settings > Connected Devices and select the Smart Monitor. If a device is already connected from the monitor side, disconnect it first before pairing from the Galaxy Book.

Multi Control makes multitasking across Samsung devices more efficient.

Instead of switching input devices or copying files between devices manually, you can navigate, copy, and interact with content directly across your ecosystem. Whether you are working on a document, or sharing content, Multi Control helps you work more efficiently across devices.
