Proximity sensor is given under Touch screen panel. So to avoid performance degradation, Direct call feature is not supported in this handset.
Smart capture function is not available in Galaxy A50.
Chat Over Video feature is renamed as Smart pop-up view.
You check this feature by following the given steps: Settings->Advanced features->Smart pop-up.
In Galaxy A50, Bixby Voice can be activated through Power Key(press and hold).
In case if above option is enabled, then for accessing Power options, you can tap power button on the Quick settings panel to access power off, Restart, Emergency mode options.
Glaxy A30 - game audio played on deep buffer output.

In such a case gaming audio will play on the fast output to guarantee better audio/video synchronization and to provide better gaming experience. On the other hand a30 does not enable the "audio pro / low latency" feature, gaming audio plays on deep buffer output.
"Tap to show" is a default feature of AOD. If you want to see AOD for 30 seconds, single tap of screen is needed.
If you want to see AOD always, you can change AOD setting by following the given steps : Settings > Lockscreen > Always On Display > Display mode > Show always.
It is a new user experience implementation in Android Pie OS.
In Oreo OS, only call preferred SIM was displayed. But in Pie OS, you can set different SIM for Call/Message/Data.
It provides more information on Quick panel. Open quick panel and check each preferred SIM name on it.
In Emergency Mode, AOD process is not supported.
In the case of optical fingerprint sensors, fingerprint authentication is possible only when AOD is enabled in the screen off state.
Camera quick launch with power key(press two times) is not supported in this handset.
It is a new Concept that default volume will not restore when reconnect earphones.
It happened when fingerprint register on same area each time.
Please try to touch whole area of your fingerprint. It makes easier to register your finger.
First make sure that your phone can make regular phone calls. You should also make sure that your phone is getting a good LTE mobile data signal. It’s also important to note that the other party must also have a good LTE mobile data signal and that their phone is capable of making video calls.
To make a video call from your phone the following steps are to be performed.
- Navigate to the contact you want to video call.
- If they are available, a green Camera icon will be next to their number. Tap the icon to begin.
You can also switch to a video call from a regular voice call.
- From your dialer, place an audio call to a contact by pressing the phone icon.
- In the dialer, tap the VIDEO CALL option at the top of the screen to switch to a video call.
- Once the video call has connected, choose from the following options: Switch camera, Mute, Show me, Hide me, Decline, End call.
Device does not have any specific option to disable camera sound. As camera sound is dependent to system sound, so to disable camera sound you need to minimize your device system sound setting.
Steps to change system sound setting:
- Tap on Volume Up/down Button
- Tap on the arrow at the top right corner of sound notification (in few models,drag Rigtone Pop up downwards)
- You will get Ringtone, Media, Notification & System sound settings.
- Adjust System sound setting to minimum
- Camera sound will be mute.
Yes it has FM radio application.
Presently it supports 3 fingerprint registration.
Note: It can be changed if required to strengthen the security.
- Galaxy A20/A30/A40/A50 device has minimized the bezel by applying the Infinity U Display. Due to the minimized bezel, Galaxy A 2019 has the proximity sensor under display.
- On Galaxy A 2019 Series, operating concepts of some apps or features related to proximity sensor have also been changed. Compared to previous devices, Galaxy A 2019 Series refer not only the proximity sensor and but also both touch recognition and motion gesture to operate some apps or features related to proximity sensor.
- Accordingly, operation to turn on/off the screen during call may also differ compared to previous devices and some apps or features also may not be supported.
BLF = Blue light filter
To enhance the security, blue light function changes to default value while trying to register fingerprint or unlock the lock screen.
For Example: If you have set the Blue light filter value to more than level 6, the level changes and operates depending to default level 5 while trying to register fingerprint or unlock the lock screen. Once device is unlocked or completed to register fingerprint, Blue light filter level will return again to setting
value defined by you. It’s an intended concept and normal operation.
- This can be seen if the front camera is covered with screen accessories, such as a screen protector or stickers while using the “Adaptive brightness" feature of screen.
- The Galaxy A30/A40/A50/A70 device utilize the light recognition value of the front camera to recognize the correct usage condition and automatically adjust the screen brightness.
- Please ensure do not cover the front camera area with any screen accessories because it may cause screen brightness and luminance to malfunction.
- If there's an unavoidable situation where you have to cover the front camera, we recommend to use after turning off the “Adaptive brightness" feature of screen.
When you scan your fingerprints on the device, be aware of the following conditions that may affect the feature’s performance:
• The device may not recognize fingerprints that are affected by wrinkles or scars.
• The device may not recognize fingerprints from small or thin fingers.
• The device may not recognize fingerprints when the fingerprint is not registered evenly or you use fingerprint of different area from the registered fingerprint.
• If you bend your finger or use a fingertip, the device may not recognize your fingerprints. Press the screen so that your fingertip spreads over the wide surface of the fingerprint recognition area.
• If you take your finger off too fast, the device may not recognize your fingerprints. When attempting to recognize a fingerprint, keep your finger on the fingerprint recognition sensor area until the fingerprint recognition is completed with the wider part of the fingerprint icon.
• If you press your finger too hard, the device may not recognize your fingerprints.
• To improve recognition performance, register fingerprints of the hand used most often to perform tasks on the device.
• Your device has a built-in fingerprint recognition sensor at the bottom center of the screen.
Ensure that the screen protector or the touchscreen on the fingerprint recognition sensor area is not scratched or damaged by objects, such as coins, keys, pens, and necklaces.
• Ensure that the fingerprint recognition sensor area at the bottom center of the screen and your fingers are clean and dry.
• In dry environments, static electricity can build up in the device. Avoid using this feature in dry environments or before using the feature, discharge static electricity by touching a metal object.
• The device may not recognize fingerprints from too dry fingers. Especially your fingers can be more drier on situations like following.
i.e. When trying to use fingerprint after wake-up in the morning
When having more drier fingers than normal.
When trying to use fingerprint at outside place on Winter.
At that time, we recommend to let your finger be moist properly by using hand cream and try again.
• The device may not recognize fingerprints from wet fingers.
• To improve recognition performance, register fingerprints of the hand used most often to perform tasks on the device.
- Fingerprint recognition speed is similar with other devices under normal circumstances condition but it may be slow when trying to recognize fingerprints like too dry or wet fingers due to specification of optical fingerprint sensor.
- Fingerprint icon always appears when the LCD is turned on however appears only if necessary to prevent unnecessary battery drain when the LCD is turned off.
To make the fingerprint icon appear when the LCD is off, please simply touch the display or lift the device to wake up. - Optical fingerprint method captures fingerprints using a display light source. Therefore, if the fingerprint sensor is directly exposed to direct sunlight or other light, it can affect fingerprint recognition. If you attempt to recognize a fingerprint outside, make sure that the entire finger is covered in the fingerprint recognition area.
- When trying to recognize the fingerprint, green lights is shown which is required for capture of fingerprint and it’s normal operation.
