We all use our phones, tablets, and smart watches every day, and sometimes we may not realize exactly how often we're touching the display, especially when we're checking messages, browsing the internet, or using apps.
Follow the guide below to learn how to properly clean your Galaxy device and use it hygienically.
Before cleaning your Galaxy devices
Step 1. Before cleaning your device, make sure to turn it off and unplug it from any cables.
Step 2. Take off any cases or stickers on your device.
How to properly clean your device
Follow the steps below to clean the glass, ceramic, and metallic surfaces of your device.
Step 1. Prepare a lint-free microfiber cloth. You may also use a special lens cleaning cloth to clean your device.
Step 2. With the cloth, wipe the front and back of the device, applying moderate force.
• You can clean your device with a cloth dipped in distilled water. Be careful not to expose the device to excess moisture.
• You may also use a cloth dipped in alcohol-based disinfectants, such as 70% isopropyl alcohol or ethyl alcohol, to clean your device.
• Do not submerge your device in distilled water or a cleaning solution.
• Avoid getting moisture or disinfectant in openings such as the earphone jack or charging port.
Note:
• Avoid using compressed air to clean, as it may damage the surface of your device.
• Never use bleach to clean your device.
• This guide is a cleaning method specifically for Galaxy devices, Galaxy Tabs, and Galaxy Watches (with the exception of the strap). Please note that the cleaning method may differ for products that are not mentioned, such as the Galaxy Buds or a keyboard.
