These identifiers help ensure that your device isn't a counterfeit and can also help you find it if it's lost or stolen. Additionally, sometimes you may need the IMEI or serial number to redeem special promotions from Samsung.
Ways to find the IMEI, MEID, model number, or serial number
Although the IMEI, serial number, or model number may sound complicated, viewing them is very simple. You can easily view these numbers directly on the phone or tablet. All you have to do is:
Option 1.
Find the number through the settings
Step 1. Navigate to Settings and then tap About phone.
Step 2. Details about your phone number, IMEI, model number and serial number will be displayed on-screen.
Note: For lower version devices, you may need to tap Status to view this information.
