How to keep your Galaxy phone from slowing down
Improve the performance of your Galaxy smartphone with "Device Maintenance"!

The quick optimization feature automatically identifies things that can slow down your smartphone's operation: files taking up memory unnecessarily, apps running in the background and consuming battery power, and more.
Optimizing the operating speed of your smartphone is quick and easy:
- Open the "Settings" of your smartphone.
- Swipe down on the screen and select "Battery and device maintenance".
- Tap “Optimize now”.
- You can follow the progress of the optimization. Press "Done".
The battery is one of the essential components for the proper functioning of your smartphone. You have several setting options depending on the use you want to make of your device: system speed, optimization of battery life, etc.
To access these options, go to Settings> Battery and device maintenance> Battery.
You can also activate the “Adaptive battery” function to automatically adjust the power mode according to your usage habits.
To do this, go to Settings> Battery and device maintenance> Battery> Other battery settings> Adaptive battery.

The operation of your smartphone may be slowed down if you have little or no storage space.
If so, it's time to clean up!
- In "Settings", open the "Battery and device maintenance" section.
- Tap “Storage”.
- Select the type of data you want to delete.
- Choose the items you want to remove.
- Once selected, tap the "Delete" icon at the bottom of the screen. Confirm the deletion by pressing again
You can also clean the memory of your smartphone to optimize its operation.
- In "Settings", open the "Battery and device maintenance" section.
- Go to "Memory".
- Press "Clean": the applications running in the background will be interrupted in order to free up memory.
You can select “Excluded apps” if you want certain apps to continue running in the background. To do this, you just need to add it to the list.
