How to troubleshoot the Samsung TV that will not turn on
We show you some checks that you can perform on your Samsung Smart TV in case it does not turn on or has problems with the video sources.
Situation 1. When the TV standby light is on
It is not a problem that the red standby light is on when the TV is turned off. However, if the TV still won't turn on after trying, there must be a problem with the remote control. First, turn on the TV using the power button on the TV, instead of the remote control.
If the TV turns on without using the remote control, the remote control is likely the problem.
Note: The location of the power button varies depending on the TV model. If you're not sure where it is, consult your user manual.
Situation 2. When the TV standby light is off
Make sure the cable and power outlet are working properly. First, make sure all wiring is securely inserted. Leave the TV unplugged for 30 seconds, and when you plug it back in, plug it directly into a working outlet. If this doesn't work, try another way out.
Situation 3. When the standby light on the TV flashes
Check your electrical protectors or voltage suppressors, if you are using them. They can wear out over time and stop providing enough voltage to your TV. You can replace the guards or suppressors. A blinking light indicates a problem with the power or some internal component of the TV.
