How to wall mount your Samsung TV
Mounting your Samsung TV on the wall gives it more space, makes the TV easier to view, and keeps it out of reach of children. To mount your TV on a wall, you will need to purchase a compatible wall mount for your specific TV.

Consult the user manual supplied with your TV for the exact spacing of the mounting points on the wall. If you can't find the user guide, please click the link Manuals and Downloads and enter your model code to download an electronic copy.
Note: For information about your specific TV model, see the user guide.
When deciding where to install your TV, you should consult the user manual provided, however, there are a few things you should keep in mind.
- Do not place near heat sources such as radiators, hot air vents, stoves, or other appliances (including amplifiers) that emit heat.
- The TV should not be placed in an area where it will be exposed to direct sunlight.
- Unless specified, the TV cannot be exposed to water. Do not install the TV near water or in a room with high humidity.
- For the most comfortable viewing, the center of the TV should be at eye level.
- Place the TV on a solid wall that is perpendicular to the floor. You should not install the TV on the ceiling or a sloping wall.
To ensure your TV has adequate ventilation, the top, bottom and sides should be at least 10cm away from other objects.
We recommend using a compatible Samsung wall mount as it will come with all the hardware and instructions for a hassle-free installation. Samsung is not responsible for third-party wall mounts, their instructions, or any supplied accessories. For more information, you should contact the manufacturer of your wall mount.
Make sure you have someone to help you when lifting and moving the TV. You should always have two people to mount the TV on the wall. For TVs 82 inches or larger, it is recommended to have four people. If you don't feel comfortable installing the TV yourself, contact a professional for help.
Note: If you mount your TV on a wall, follow the instructions exactly as stated by the mount manufacturer. Unless installed correctly, the TV can slide or fall and cause serious injury and damage.

If you use a wall mount from a third-party manufacturer, it may not come with the proper fixings needed to install your TV. For more information, you should contact the wall mount manufacturer. Samsung cannot advise on the requirements for wall mounts manufactured by third parties.
The required specifications for the bolt size and length needed to securely mount your Samsung TV will be listed in your TV's user guide. If you can't find your user manual, please visit Samsung Support and enter your TV model number to download an electronic copy.
The screw length, labeled "C" in the user manual, shows the minimum and maximum bolt length required from the back cover to the threads inside the TV. This does not include a wall mount and you must add the appropriate length to properly accommodate the wall mount assembly.
In your user manual there are some diagrams you can use to figure out what size screw you need. Use the following examples to understand how to use these diagrams.
Finding the correct bolt length
- C = length of screw inside the TV, when screwed to the bottom of the panel
- X = the thickness of your wall mount
To find the correct length of screw needed, add C and X. It may be easier to use longer screws with some spacers or washers.
Finding the correct screw length when using spacers
- C = length of screw inside the TV, when screwed to the bottom of the panel
- X = the thickness of your wall mount
- Z = the thickness of spacers/washers
Screws available at hardware stores are generally sold in 5mm increments. It may be easier to use these "standard" length bolts with some spacers or washers. If you are using spacers, the total screw length needed will be C + X + Z.
