Half of the TV screen is black
You suddenly notice that part your TV screen is black. It could be normal, something the device you are using is designed to do, or your TV could have a problem. This guide can easily help you determine the cause.
If the menu is cut off by the black part of the screen, please visit the Support Center to request service.
Verify the cable is connected firmly and if so, try replacing it with another cable.
Power cycle the external device and check to see if the black section of the screen returns. If it does, you may need to contact the manufacturer of that device for further troubleshooting.
