What changes are applied with Galaxy Themes

Galaxy Themes allows you to change many of the visual aspects of your phone. Each theme can contain its own backgrounds, icons or fonts, depending on the chosen theme.

Galaxy Themes applied on mobiles.

When you apply a new theme, the following areas may change:

  • Lock screen and wallpaper image on the home screen.
  • App icons.
  • Visual design when running Samsung provided applications such as phone, contacts, messages, and keyboards.
  • Sounds such as ringtone, screen touch and more.
  • Fonts in some areas.
  • The overall layout of the device.

Please note: Not every item listed above will change. The scope of application may vary depending on the theme, so please refer to the "Description" on every theme’s detail screen to find out.

If you want to change your theme back to the default theme, follow these steps:

Step 1. Launch Galaxy Themes and tap the bottom right “Menu” icon. Step 1. Launch Galaxy Themes and tap the bottom right “Menu” icon.

After applying a theme, you can freely apply other content such as wallpapers, icons or AODs.

  • To apply another wallpaper/icon/AOD to your chosen theme, follow these steps:
1 Run the Galaxy Themes app and tap on the “Menu” option.
2 Tap on “My stuff” and select the wallpapers, icons or AODs tab for the content you want to apply.
  • To apply the Samsung default wallpaper after applying the theme, follow the next steps:
1 Run the Galaxy Themes app and tap on the “Menu” option.
2 Tap on “My stuff” and open the “Wallpapers” tab.
3 Tap “Preloaded” and select the wallpaper you want to apply.
  • To apply the Samsung default icons after applying the theme, follow these steps:
1 Run the “Galaxy Themes” app and tap on the “Menu” option.
2 Tap on “My stuff” and open the “Icons” tab.
3 Select the “Default” icon.
  • To apply a default AOD, follow the next steps:
1 Run the “Galaxy Themes” app and tap on the “Menu” option.
2 On this screen, tap on “My stuff” and open the “AODs” tab.
3 Select the “Default” AOD.
  • To apply a photo from the Gallery as your wallpaper after applying the theme, follow these steps:
1 Run the Galaxy Themes app and tap on the “Menu” option.
2 On this screen, tap on “My stuff” and open the “Wallpapers” tab.
3 Select the “Gallery” icon and select the personal picture that you want.
