What if my washing is still damp after drying?

Washer driers do not operate the same way as electric tumble driers. They use a condensation principle rather than evaporation. As such, they are not as fast or powerful as a conventional drier but are designed to be more energy efficient and convenient.

There may be several causes for washing to still be damp after drying such as: 

Overloading

• Washer driers can only dry specified maximum load of washing (that means dry washing, not wet washing). Try reducing the load or manually set the drying time if your load is larger.

The type of fabric may be too dense.

• The washing machine determines its drying time by weighing the amount of laundry inside. Any given weight of light cotton material does not hold as much water as same weight of towels or denim and so will dry much faster. Try manually adjusting the drying time for denser fabrics.

Ensure that the spin speed is set to high 

• Lower spin speeds will reduce the violume of water removed from the laundry before the drying cycle starts

Check that the drain hose is not higher than the 65cm recommended in the manual.

• If the drain hose is too high it will prevent enough water from exiting the machine during drain cycle.
