What to do if your S Pen is not fully charged even though it is inserted into the S Pen slot for quite a long time

Last Update date : Jan 24. 2022

When the S Pen's battery is low, just reinsert it in your Galaxy device for a few minutes and it should fully charge. However, if the S Pen is not fully charged after being inserted into your phone for a long time, follow the guide below to take a few actions.

Before you try the recommendations below, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated to the latest version. To update your mobile device's software, follow these steps:

Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install.

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Check 1. Make sure that your phone is not in contact with a magnet

The S Pen may not be recognized properly when the back of your Galaxy device is in contact with a magnet. If you use a magnetic accessory such as a metallic case, the S Pen may not charge properly. Remove the magnetic accessory from your phone and try charging it again.
