How to confirm if the remote control is not working

If you've been having issues with your remote control and would like to test to confirm if your remote control is no longer working follow the steps below:  

1 Locate Two AAA, 1.5V batteries.

Please check you are not using old batteries or any new mismatched brands of batteries together.

2 Check the correct polarization (+ -) and then insert batteries.

3 Press and hold any button on the remote and check in the front with help of a digital camera or a cell phone camera if the remote is working.

When you press and hold any key of the remote while viewing it through the viewfinder screen of a digital camera or a cell phone camera, you should be able to see if the transmitting infra-red LED glows or not.If the LED glows than the remote operates correctly.
