Scenario: You're planning a dinner in France, and language differences could make it hard. With Live Translate, your conversation flows smoothly, as if you were both speaking the same language!

How do I activate this feature?

  1. Open Settings and tap on Advanced features
  2. Tap on Advanced Intelligence
  3. Tap on Phone and turn on the Live Translate toggle On
  4. Set your language in the Me section and the other person’s language in the Other person section. Please note that you will have to download the available language before setting it.


How to use Live Translate during a phone call?

  1. Make or receive a phone call using the native phone app
  2. Tap on Call assist
  3. Tap on Live Translate
  4. Bixby will automatically use the language setting you’ve selected in the device setting to start the conversation.

How do I activate this feature?

  1. Open the Quick setting panel and select Interpreter
  2. Tap on the language feature next to the microphone icon, and select the languages that you will be using
  3. Tap Add languages if you require more options, and allow access to the microphone if a popup appears
  4. Tap the Change view mode icon to flip the top half of your screen to face the other speaker
  5. Tap on the Microphone icon facing you and speak

Chat Assist on the Galaxy S24 helps fine-tune the tone and style of your messages, ensuring they convey the intended meaning, regardless of the language.   5. Your audio recording will be displayed as a transcription
