Check the information codes of the dryer
If the washing machine fails to operate, you may see an information code on the screen. In most cases, it is not a mechanical problem. Check the codes and instructions below and try the suggestions that are given. If any code keeps appearing on the screen, please contact a local Samsung service center for further support.
Major information codes
The first step before you do anything else in order to get the dryer back in operational mode is to unplug the dryer and wait at least 30 seconds before reconnecting it. Sometimes just doing this will help the dryer's internal motherboard reset and begin to function properly.

Dryer operation with the door open. -Close the door and start again. -Make sure no laundry is not caught in the door. -Check if the Child Lock is on. 5C, 5E Check drainage |
Draining malfunction / Draining pump malfunction / Frozen draining hose / Water tank full -Make sure that the draining hose is not bent or damaged. -If the hose is frozen, wrap the hose with a towel soaked in warm water for approximately ten minutes to thaw the hose. -Empty the water tank, turn on the dryer, and start again. -If this information code remains, please contact a local Samsung service center. |
