Galaxy Book Go
The Galaxy Book Go was first released in June 2021 and is a super-light, ultra-portable laptop that is designed to offer excellent value-for-money. It bridges the gap between a Chromebook and laptop. Unlike a Chromebook, the Galaxy Book Go series has a Windows operating system which makes them exceptionally versatile devices. The latest Galaxy Book2 Go was released in February 2023 and has an impressive 14-inch display, long-lasting battery, a 180-degree rotating hinge, and Bluetooth pairing and even 5G connectivity. The Galaxy Book Go series is a fantastic range for students or casual users who require a fully functional Windows laptop without the price tag of a flagship device.
Galaxy ChromeBook
Samsung Galaxy Chromebooks are accomplished devices that offer incredible value for money whilst being simple, secure and efficient to use. They operate using Google’s Chrome OS rather than Microsoft Windows so are a little less versatile than a Galaxy Book. However, they are a great option for anyone who is looking for a laptop which is optimised for working and getting creative online. The Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 was released in 2022 and has a clever 2-in-1 design with 360-degree folding hinge making it highly versatile. The Wi-Fi 6™ connectivity also delivers high data speeds and powerful performance. Samsung Chromebooks such as the Galaxy Chromebook Go LTE can withstand the demands of the day. You can even stay connected in the great outdoors with the Galaxy Chromebook Go, thanks to the remote LTE connection. Whether you’re in class, making a presentation or discussing the next group project, a Galaxy Chromebook has you covered.
Which is better: a Chromebook or a Windows laptop?
Chromebooks and Samsung Galaxy Books have different advantages but at their core, they’re all essentially laptops that can browse the web, stream videos and handle documents. With their cheaper prices and simple approach, Chromebooks are a smart choice if you’re happy to work online and use web-based apps such as Google Docs. For many, syncing via the cloud is no longer a novelty and if you are familiar with working in this way a Galaxy Chromebook is a solid device that will serve you well.
Galaxy Books by contrast use a Windows platform, which is a far larger and more robust operating system. This means you have much more flexibility to run programs or do complex tasks both off and online. If you’re looking for a device that can handle many different tasks efficiently and can download software and run applications from any source, a Samsung Galaxy laptop is the best choice for you.
