Welcome to the future of smart technology with Galaxy AI - Samsung’s cutting-edge artificial intelligence that is transforming the way we interact with our smart devices. In this guide we delve into the world of Galaxy AI, including the key features to look out for and how you can harness their full potential on your Galaxy device. Get ready to unlock a world of possibilities with Galaxy AI.
What are the key features of Galaxy AI?
Galaxy AI is designed to make your interactions with Samsung devices more intuitive, efficient, and personalised. From software that automatically translates into your preferred languages, to tools that rewrite your texts to suit different tones, Galaxy AI learns your preferences and adapts to your lifestyle. We take a closer look at what you can expect from our top Galaxy AI features1.
Live Translate
Live Translate is an innovative AI tool that changes words from one language to another as you speak or text. If you’re talking to someone who speaks a different language, Live Translate can now help you understand each other instantly. It’s a super-handy AI feature for when you’re travelling to new places, meeting friends from around the world, or even when you’re learning a language.
And the best part? It’s really easy to use. You just pick the languages you want to translate to and from, and Live Translate does the rest. When you're on a call or chatting with someone, Live Translate listens to what’s being said, then almost like magic, it turns those words into the language you’ve chosen. You can see the translation right away on your screen, or hear it if you’re talking. It’s a smart way to make sure nothing gets lost in translation.
Note Assist
Note Assist makes taking notes on your phone super easy and organised. It tidies up your notes by adding headings and lists, so they are neat and easy to read. It can also check for spelling and grammatical errors and even translate them into another language. And if you’ve made lots of notes? Note Assist can shrink them down to just the main points.
To use Note Assist, you just need to have a compatible Samsung Galaxy phone, like the Galaxy S24 or Galaxy Z Flip5. Simply turn Note Assist on in the settings, and you’re good to go. Whether you’re jotting down ideas, making a to-do list, or taking notes for work or school, Note Assist helps keep everything in order and easy to find later.
Transcript Assist
Transcript Assist takes the effort out of notetaking. Part of the Voice Recorder app, it turns spoken words into written text, making minute-taking a thing of the past. Whether you’re in a meeting, lecture, or just want to record your thoughts, Transcript Assist will write it all down for you. It can even translate the text into different languages or summarise it so you just get the key points.
Using Transcript Assist is easy. Simply open the Voice Recorder app and pick the recording you want to write out. Hit ‘Transcribe’ and choose the language spoken in the recording. Tap ‘Transcribe’ again and voilà! Your spoken words appear as text. It’s just like having a magic pen that listens and writes for you, making life a whole lot easier.
Chat Assist
Imagine typing away in a chat and needing a quick fact-check for your work. With Chat Assist, you just type your query, and it gives you the information, saving you the hassle and time of searching elsewhere. And if you’re looking for a better way to say something, Chat Assist also provides suggestions in just the right tone, whether you’re messaging a mate or writing a post on social media.
To use Chat Assist, you need to enable it in your settings. Once activated, it integrates seamlessly with the Samsung Keyboard, and you can access its functions directly from the keyboard’s menu bar when composing a message.
Photo Assist
Photo Assist elevates your photography experience making every snap you take look professional and polished. With Photo Assist, you can easily move objects within your photos, zoom in with incredible detail, reframe your shots for the perfect composition, and remaster images to bring out their best qualities - all thanks to Galaxy AI.
Using Photo Assist is straightforward. Once you’ve taken a photo with your Galaxy device, open it in the Gallery app. Photo Assist will then provide AI-generated suggestions that help you enhance your picture with just a few taps. Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or a casual snapper, Photo Assist makes it simple to create stunning images that stand out.
