How to calibrate your TV screen with SmartThings
Use the following video to find out how to calibrate your TV screen with SmartThings
Please note:
- Professional Mode is not available on all TV models
- This calibration is only applied to Movie Mode and not to other picture modes
Step-by-step guide:
On your TV, go to:
- Settings
- All Settings
- Picture
- Expert Settings
- Smart Calibration
- Scan the QR code on the screen to register the TV on SmartThings
- Follow the steps to register your TV on SmartThings
Once it is registered, go to:
- Devices
- Select the TV
- Smart calibration
You have two options to carry out the calibration
- Basic mode
Simple calibration. This will take around 30 seconds
- Professional mode
Intensive calibration. This will take around 4-8 minutes
In Professional mode
- Activate HDR
- Next
- Mount your smartphone on a tripod
- Place the rear camera 1-3 cm from TV
- Darken the room before starting calibration
- I’m Ready
- Use the square on the TV to adjust the position of the camera
- Start
- Do not move the smartphone during the calibration
- The process measures and adjusts the RGB spectrum, white balance, gamma, colour, greyscale linearity to ensure optimal picture quality
- Once it is complete, a calibration report will appear
- Next
- Select Apply to Calibrated to set the correction
- Done
