First, have all the genuine parts and tools needed for the procedure ready
*Use only demagnetised tools that are specifically designed for small electronic repairs, as most electronic parts are sensitive to electromagnetic forces.

When repairing devices, you absolutely must wear equipment for your safety
Safety equipment

Perform the repair in a ventilated area and watch out for burns and other injuries
Have your data backed up safely and ensure the device is turned off
Before beginning any repair, make sure your battery is fully discharged
Starting off, make sure to remove the SIM tray using SIM ejection pin
*Disassembling with the SIM tray still inserted may damage the device.

Back Cover
Place the Heating bag in the microwave and heat it properly following Heating bag's instruction
*Do not let the temperature of the Heating bag exceed 65˚C. It is recommended that you use a thermometer to properly measure and limit the temperature.
*Make sure the microwave turntable spins freely so that Heating bag does not get stuck.
*When handling a heated Heating bag, always wear safety gloves and be careful of burns.
Never place a phone or tablet device directly into the microwave to heat it
To disassemble Back cover, follow 3 steps on all 4 edges of the back of the device
*Sequence shortened. Actual steps may vary.
Step. 1 Apply Heating bag on the left edge of Back Cover
Step. 2 Attach Suction cup to the heated edge
*Recommended safety equipment: safety glasses, ESD-safe gloves, mask.
Step. 3 Use Opening pick to create a gap between Back Cover and Screen module
*In order not to damage the product when removing back cover, insert only the tip of Opening pick and never insert it all the way in.
*When dealing with broken glass, fully equip yourself with protective gear including safety glasses, ESD-safe gloves, and mask to prevent injuries.
Repeat the 3 steps for the top, right, and bottom edges respectively
Gently lift to remove Back cover using Suction cup
Remove Back Cover adhesive tape and 3rd Mic hole adhesive tape using ESD-safe tweezers
Back Cover adhesive tape
*When assembling, use a new adhesive tape.
Wireless charging module
Check the 2 points where the connectors are connected
*The locations of ports and connectors vary by device.
Disconnect the Wireless charging module connector with the Opening pick
Using the tweezers or Opening pick, separate the adhesive tapes of wireless charging module
and separate the wireless charging module from the device
Be careful not to tear any connected components near the wireless charging module
Check the 7 points where the Screws are located
*The locations of ports and connectors vary by device.
Remove all Screws on the upper rear cover using a Screwdriver
*Use only high-quality screwdrivers when servicing products. Low-quality screwdrivers can easily damage the heads of screws.
*When assembling, use new screws.
Disconnect the 2 flexible cable connectors with the Opening pick
Using the tweezers, lift up on the top centre
and separate the upper rear cover from the device
Disconnect the battery connector with the Opening pick
Charging port
Check the 3 points where the screws are located
Remove all Screws using a Screwdriver
*Use only high-quality screwdrivers when servicing products. Low-quality screwdrivers can easily damage the heads of screws.
*When assembling, use new screws.
and separate the lower rear cover from the device
Check the 2 points where the Screws are located
Remove all Screws using a Screwdriver
*Use only high-quality screwdrivers when servicing products. Low-quality screwdrivers can easily damage the heads of screws.
*When assembling, use new screws.
Check the 2 points where the connectors are connected
Disconnect 2 connectors from the Charging port using Opening pick

and lift Charging port away from assembly using ESD-safe tweezers

Front camera
Check where the Front camera connector is connected
Disconnect a connector from the front camera using Opening pick
*The locations of ports and connectors vary by device.
and lift front camera away from assembly using ESD-safe tweezers
*Always use Samsung-authorised genuine parts. Third-party replacement parts may not function properly.
Main board
Check the 8 points where the connectors are connected
Disconnect 8 connectors from the Main board using Opening pick and separate a cable
*The locations of ports and connectors vary by device.
Check the 3 points where the Screws are located
Remove all Screws using a Screwdriver
*Use only high-quality screwdrivers when servicing products. Low-quality screwdrivers can easily damage the heads of screws.
*When assembling, use new screws.
Using the tweezers, lift up on the separator groove to the upper left corner of the Main board and remove the Main board module
*Please note: You may find an alternate entry point to remove the main PBA on the opposite side shown.
Vibrator
Using the tweezers, lift up on the separator groove to the right of the vibrator motor, and then carefully remove it from the device
*Please note: You may find an alternate entry point to remove the vibra motor on the opposite side shown.
Fingerprint Scanner (Side button)
Check 2 Screws on the Fingerprint Scanner and remove it using a Screwdriver
Using tweezers, remove the metal plate from Main Screen module
Remove the plastic bracket from the Main Screen module
The Fingerprint Scanner (Side button) is removed together with the bracket
Cover Screen
Place the Heating bag in the microwave and heat it properly following Heating bag's instruction

To disassemble Cover Screen, follow steps on all 4 edges of the Cover Screen of the device
*Sequence shortened. Actual steps may vary.
Step. 1 Apply Heating bag on the left edge of Cover Screen for 3 minutes
Step. 2 Attach Suction cup and use the Metal opening pick to create a first gap
*Recommended safety equipment: safety glasses, ESD-safe gloves, mask.
*In order not to damage the product when removing back cover, insert only the tip of Opening pick and never insert it all the way in.
*When dealing with broken glass, fully equip yourself with protective gear including safety glasses, ESD-safe gloves, and mask to prevent injuries.
Step. 3 Once the first partial gap has been created, the rest of the gap will be created with the plastic Opening pick
Never use a metal pick to remove anything other than the initial gap, as you may damage the part
For the remaining three parts (left / right / bottom), use the gap at the top to create a gap with the plastic Opening pick
As the Cover Screen can be damaged by excessive force, be careful not to damage the Cover Screen
Gently lift to remove the Cover Screen using Suction cup
Before removing the Cover Screen, disassemble the Cover Screen's cable connector cover with the tweezers first
Disassemble the cable connector of Cover Screen and separate the Cover Screen completely
Remove all resin residues attached on the inside of the Cover Screen
*When assembling, use a new adhesive tape.
Remove all remaining adhesive tapes attached on the device
Speakers
Check the 7 points where the Screws are located
*The locations of ports and connectors vary by device.
Remove all Screws using Screwdriver
Using tweezers, lift up the top of top speaker module carefully and separate it from the device
*Please note: You may find an alternate entry point on the side.
Using the Opening pick, disconnect the battery connector from the Sub-board
*Be careful not to damage the Battery.
Check the 4 points where the Screws are located
*The locations of ports and connectors vary by device.
Remove all Screws using Screwdriver
Using the tweezers, lift up on the separator groove to the right corner of the bottom speaker module and remove it
Sub-board
Check the 6 points where the connectors are connected
Disconnect 6 connectors from the Sub-board using Opening pick and separate a cable
*The locations of ports and connectors vary by device.
Using the tweezers, lift up on the separator groove to the lower right of the Sub-board and remove the Sub-board module
*The Sub-board can only be replaced at a Samsung authorised repair store. Please contact Samsung for additional support.
Button (Volume key)
Lightly press one end of the button with your fingers so that the other end protrudes
*When holding the buttons with a round-tip metal tweezer, be very careful not to damage or scratch the device.
Push the tip of the protruding button up carefully with a round-tip metal tweezer and lift it up until you can grab it with your fingers

Grab the volume button with your fingers and pull it out carefully from the device
*Side button is also used for Fingerprint recognition sensor. Thus, it cannot be removed directly from outside.

Before proceeding, ensure that no debris or separated Screw remains inside the device

Fingerprint Scanner (Side button)
Remove the release film of new plastic bracket, grab the Fingerprint Scanner (Side button) and insert it on the slot carefully
Assemble to the Main Screen module
Using tweezers, align the adhesive tape precisely at the top of the plastic bracket and attach it
and with fingers, gently press down and remove the blue release film of the tape
Using tweezers, assemble the metal plate on the Main Screen module
Check the Screws at the 2 different points of metal plate and fasten them using a Screwdriver
Screws
Sub-board
Assemble the Sub-board
Check the 6 points where the connectors are located
Connect all the cable connectors on the Sub-board
Speakers
Assemble the bottom speaker module
Check the 4 points where the Screws are located and fasten them

Connect the battery connector to the Sub-board
Assemble the top speaker module
Check the 7 points where the Screws are located and fasten them

Cover Screen
Attach new Cover Screen adhesive tapes
Cover Screen inner Adhesive tape (Left)
Cover Screen inner Adhesive tape (Right)
Cover Screen outside Adhesive tape
Remove all release film by grabbing the blue film handle
Before proceeding, ensure that no debris or separated Screw remains inside the device

Assemble the Cover Screen's cable connector first
Assemble the Cover Screen's cable connector cover with fingers
Attach the Cover Screen and press down the edges of the Cover Screen evenly in order to attach it perfectly
Main board
Assemble the Main board
Check the Screw’s location and fasten it
Screw 3442 (1ea)
Screw 3404 (2ea, Black)
Check the Screw’s location and fasten it
Connect all the cable connectors on the Main board
Assemble the Front camera and connect the connector of Front camera
Vibrator
Remove the existing adhesive tape from the bottom of the Vibrator
Attach the Vibrator Adhesive tape to the bottom of the Vibrator and peel the release film
Assemble the Vibrator and press down in order to attach it perfectly
Charging port
Insert the Charging port module to the bottom metal frame of device
Connect the 2 connectors to Charging port
Check the Screw’s location and fasten it

Check the Screw’s location and fasten it
Assemble the lower rear cover and press down on it in its position
Check the Screw’s location and fasten it

Wireless charging module
Connect the main battery connector to the Main board
Assemble the top of upper rear cover and press down on it in its position
Check the position of the two connectors and connect them to the Main board

Attach the Wireless charging module adhesive tape parts and press it lightly with your finger
and carefully attach the other adhesive tape parts of the Wireless charging module one by one
*When attaching the wireless charging module, make sure that it fits to the device’s form.
Check the position of the Wireless charging module connector and connect it to the Main board

Back Cover
Attach new Back Cover adhesive tape

Attach new 3rd Mic Hole Adhesive tape to the Back Cover

Remove all release film by grabbing the green film handle
Before proceeding, ensure that no debris or separated Screw remains inside the device
*Pause the video while completing each step, then resume when ready to continue.
Attach the Back Cover and press down the edges of the Back Cover evenly in order to attach it perfectly
*IPXX performance cannot be guaranteed when it is repaired by user or non-skilled person.
Insert the SIM tray back into the slots and push it in its position
Button (Volume key)
Remove the release film of new volume button
Use your fingers to grab the volume button and insert the button on the slot carefully
*Press down the volume button softly and evenly so that the button can be completely assembled. Press the volume button to make sure it “clicks.” It should have the same sound and feel as before disassembly.
