How to use split screen & multi windows on Galaxy phones
Please note: The following steps and images may be different depending on your model and operating system.
Multi Window mode, or multitasking, lets you view two apps side-by-side on a split screen.
There is also a feature called pop-up view, which lets you use an app in a small window while you use the rest of the screen for other tasks.
Viewing apps in split screen
Please note: Before following these steps, open both of the apps that you want to view in split screen.
Follow these steps to open two apps in split screen:
To change the size of the windows:
To leave split screen view, tap the home button.
Open an app in pop-up view
Top open an app in pop-up view:
To move a pop-up window, tap and drag the top of the window to move it around the screen.
To minimize the pop-up window:
To make a pop-up window full screen:
Tap the full screen icon
To close the pop-up window:
To close the pop-up window in minimised view:
Open a video in a pop-up window
You can move a video into a pop-up window while you are watching it in Video player. You may find that the window will close itself once the video has finished playing.
