What are QLED TVs?QLED TVs, or Quantum Dot LED, TVs are a type of LED television that use Quantum Dots to enhance the display quality. These tiny particles emit light when exposed to an electric current, creating brighter and more vibrant colours compared to standard LED TVs. QLED TVs are therefore able to produce a wide colour gamut, high brightness levels and enhanced colour volume, which means the colours you see on the screen look more accurate and vibrant.

What should I look for in a QLED TV?When considering the purchase of a QLED TV there are several key features to look out for. Firstly, resolution is paramount; a 4K display is standard for Samsung’s QLED TVs, but 8K TV options are also available. Take a moment to consider the screen size. This should be based on the size of the room and the recommended viewing distances, learn how to measure for a new tv here. Larger screens offer a more immersive experience, but also come with a higher price tag. Smart features are also important; Samsung’s QLED TVs come with the intuitive Tizen OS interface and built-in streaming apps. TV sound quality should also not be overlooked; plus an external sound system can create a more immersive viewing experience. Lastly, consider the warranty and customer support offered as this can provide peace of mind and assistance if needed.
