The word "design" originates from the Latin word "designare," which means to designate, express and accomplish. Nowadays, design is used to convey a wider range of ideas, including plans or drawings that show the look and function of a building, garment or other objects before they are built or made.
An ancient Greek statue is embedded on the word "design" in the phrase "the evolution of design".

Ancient civilizations used designs to express faith and beliefs, maintaining that they could grant magical powers and protection. Redefining home design with Samsung Bespoke
Home appliances were once dominated by standardized designs led by manufacturers, with little variation in color and style. As society and individual thinking evolved, design gradually evolved as well. Samsung still makes many products in white and silver.
In 2019, Samsung launched its Bespoke line of refrigerators, which allowed consumers to customize* the color, type and depth of their products. The line redefined the traditional boundaries of design by offering a variety of colors and customizable combinations for kitchen spaces. In 2021, Samsung extended the Bespoke line with Bespoke Home, which allows customers to broaden their personal style beyond just the kitchen and into their entire living space.

Bespoke Home at Fuorisalone 2023
At Fuorisalone 2023, Samsung showcased new designs under the theme Bespoke Home, Bespoke Life, reflecting three core consumer values: design, connectivity and sustainability. Bespoke Life allows customers to design a home that caters to their unique tastes and life values.
Samsung invites customers to push the boundaries of product and design experiences under the Bespoke Home, Bespoke Life concept and combine eco-conscious technologies in their homes.
