  • Benefits of induction cooking include fast heating, energy efficiency and cooking surfaces that cool quickly for safer operation and easy cleaning. One downside is the need for cookware made of metals like cast iron, carbon steel and stainless steel.
  • Gas cooking uses gas-fed flame to indirectly heat cookware, resulting in a low rate of energy efficiency. Induction cooking uses electromagnetic induction to heat cookware directly, resulting in extremely efficient heating.
  • It is recommended to use non-abrasive substances and materials to clean induction cooktops, just like other glass cooktops. Samsung Induction Cooktops feature a scratch-resistant matte glass surface that cools quickly and is easy to clean.
  • Induction range stovetops transfer 90% of the heat energy they produce directly to cookware, while gas range burners transfer about 50%, and radiant or coil electric ranges only 30%. This makes induction cooking much more efficient than those options.
