Record videos with Galaxy Z Flip6 and Z Flip7 Camcorder mode

Camcorder mode on the Galaxy Z Flip6, Z Flip7, and Z Flip7 FE is a nostalgic way to film videos! When your Z Flip is opened halfway in Flex mode, you can transform it into an old-school camcorder and use the Camera app’s options with one hand.

Record videos with Galaxy Z Flip6 and Z Flip7 Camcorder mode

Note
If the Flex mode panel is enabled, the Camera controls will only be available when the phone isn't positioned horizontally.

Use Camcorder mode

When you’re ready to start filming with Camcorder mode, simply follow the instructions below to create a video.

  1. Open your phone to its main screen, and then fold the upper screen to enable Flex mode. Next, navigate to and open the Camera app, and then tap VIDEO.
  2. Hold the phone on its side so that the viewfinder faces you. Next, tap Record to start filming.
  3. Move the phone using one hand, and adjust the desired options with your other hand. You can zoom in and out by adjusting the slider.

  4. When you’re finished filming, tap Stop. You can view your video in the Gallery app.
