Add visual depth to photos captured on your Galaxy phone

The Live effect feature on your Galaxy phone enhances your images by applying three-dimensional visuals. In other words, your photo will appear alive! Using Live effect is a great way to improve static or flat images.

Add visual depth to photos captured on your Galaxy phone

Use Live effect

If you’d like to transform an uninteresting photo into something extraordinary, you can use Live effect.

  1. Navigate to and open the Gallery app, and then select your desired photo.
  2. Tap More options (the three vertical dots), and then tap Details. You can also swipe up on the photo instead.

  3. Tap Live effect on the photo; a visual effect will be applied to the photo.

  4. If you’re satisfied with the visual effect, tap Save copy to save the edited photo to the Gallery app.
  5. To share the edited photo, tap Share, and then select a sharing option.
  6. You can also tap Set as wallpaper to set the photo as your Lock screen or Call background wallpapers.
