Capture log format videos on your Galaxy phone

Log Video on your Galaxy phone gives you the ability to capture professional-grade videos using Pro video mode. Log mode videos use high compression and flat color tones, making them easy to edit and color correct to your preferences.

Capture log format videos on your Galaxy phone

Enable Log mode

Log mode can be enabled through the Camera app’s settings and can only be used when videos are taken in Pro video mode.

  1. Navigate to and open the Camera app.
  2. Tap the Quick controls icon (the four dots), then tap the Settings icon, and then tap Advanced video options.
  3. Tap the switch next to Log.

Record video using Log mode

To record professional-grade videos in Log mode, follow the instructions below.

  1. Navigate to and open the Camera app, and then tap More.
  2. Tap Pro Video, and then tap Log in the top right corner of the screen.

  3. Tap the Record icon to begin taking your video, and then tap the Stop icon when finished.
