Use multiple SmartThings Hubs

Use multiple SmartThings Hubs
Add a new location and hub to your account
- Navigate to and open the SmartThings app.
- Tap the Location drop-down arrow at the top.
- Tap Manage locations.
- Tap the + sign to add a new location.
- Configure your location’s name and physical location.
- Tap Done, and your new location will be added.
Connect your hub
Once you've created a new location that doesn't already have a hub registered, you can go ahead and add your new SmartThings Hub.
- Open the SmartThings app, and then tap the Location drop-down menu to find the new location you just created.
- Tap Add (the plus sign), and then tap Device.
- Tap the By brand tab, tap Wi-Fi/Hub, and then tap SmartThings. Select the type of SmartThings hub you have.
- For the best performance, don't stack your SmartThings Hub directly on top of your wireless router. Additionally, the hub has a range of about 50 feet (depending on your home's layout and construction), so place the hub centrally, where it can reach the most smart devices.
- Tap Start, and then use the on-screen instructions. You'll need to enter the six-character Welcome Code for your hub, and wait while the hub downloads any available firmware upgrades. Do not unplug the hub during the setup process. The app will confirm when the hub is ready - the LED indicator will be a solid green.
