What is the Samsung Trade-in Program?The Samsung Trade-In Program allows customers to trade in an eligible device and receive an instant trade-in credit toward the purchase of a new qualifying Galaxy device. What requirements does my device have to meet in order to receive trade-in value?Your trade-in device must meet the following eligibility requirements: our trade-in device must meet the following eligibility requirements:
a) Your device must power on, hold a charge, and not power off unexpectedly;
b) Your device must have a functioning display with no black spots or pixelation of any kind;
c) Your device must have no breaks, cracks, or other defects that go beyond normal wear and tear, including but not limited to:
• Multiple scratches, dents, or dings;
• Water damage; or;
• Corroded charging port, SIM, or battery terminal contacts.
If a Cracked Device Offer applies, your device may have cracks anywhere, but all other conditions apply;
d) Your device must not be on a banned list of any kind;
e) Your Trade-In Device must not have a damaged or swollen battery. A battery is swollen if your device screen or case begins to warp around your battery and bulges around the center. If your device does not fully charge, if the battery runs hot while charging, or if your device needs to be charged multiple times during the day, it could mean that your battery is damaged. Devices with battery damage will be recycled and cannot be returned to you.
f) Your device must have a fully functioning charging port that is able to support charging & data transfer.
g) At the time of trade-in, you must be the owner of the device. Leased devices are not eligible.
h) Reactivation Lock, Google Factory Reset Protection, or any other anti-theft locking software must be disabled on your device;
i) Before sending your device to Samsung, you must perform a factory reset on it and remove all personal information.
j) Your device must be labeled with an FCC ID to show that it is certified for use in the United States under applicable FCC regulations.
The FCC ID number can usually be found printed somewhere on the mobile device. Sometimes it may be necessary to remove the battery pack to find the number. The FCC ID number can also be found in the user manual for each device. -

Device models that currently qualify for trade-in and trade-in credit amounts associated with those models are available on Samsung.com and the Shop Samsung App; eligible models and amounts may change at Samsung’s sole discretion. To be eligible for trade-in, your qualifying device must meet all Trade-In Program eligibility requirements, which include, but are not limited to, that the device powers on, holds a charge, and does not power off unexpectedly; has a functioning display; has no breaks or cracks in the screen (unless a cracked screen offer applies); has no breaks or cracks in the case; has no liquid damage (whether visible or not); has no other defects that go beyond normal wear and tear; is not on a black list; has a verified FCC ID; has been reset to factory settings; has all personal information removed; has all software locks disabled; and is owned by you (leased devices are not eligible). Anticipated trade-in value will be applied as a credit at time of purchase, but, if you do not send in your trade-in device within 15 days of receipt of your Qualifying Purchase, you will be charged back for the trade-in credit applied to your purchase, or if you send in your trade-in device within 15 days of receipt of your Qualifying Purchase but Samsung determines your device does not meet all eligibility requirements, you will be charged back for the trade-in credit applied to your purchase minus $25. Participation in this program does not excuse you from contracts with your carrier or retailer (or any related payments or fees) for the device that was traded in.
