How Do I remove the missed call notification icon on my Samsung Galaxy S3?

The "missed call" notification icon should disappear from the notification bar when you clear your notifications. If the icon persists even after you've tried to clear it then please do the following:
When on the Home screen on your device touch the Menu key and then touch Settings > Application Manager > All > BadgeProvider > Clear Data. Then restart your phone.
