How to Trade-Up?
Step 1 – Buy with a discount
Select your eligible home appliance. Then select 'Yes' to recycling on the product page, and simply identify the brand and year of the appliance you’re trading in. A discount will be applied automatically at check-out.
Step 2 – Prepare for collection
We will collect your old product when we deliver your new Product. Please have your old product fully uninstalled, dismounted and ready for collection. You are not required to package the old product.
Step 3 – Delivery & pick-up
We’ll collect your old appliance when we deliver the new one.
How do I participate in the Appliance Trade-up promotion?
Find your new product on Samsung.com and select the Trade-Up option before you add to basket. Tell us what product you are recycling and get an instant Trade-Up Discount applied to your new product at checkout.
Which Samsung models are eligible for the Appliance Trade-up?
The Trade-Up offer is available for purchases of the following TVs while stocks last. Please note that we reserve the right to withdraw models from this offer without notice.
How do I return my old recycled product to Samsung?
We will collect your old product when we deliver your new Product. Please have your old product fully uninstalled, dismounted and ready for collection. You are not required to package the old product.
How many times can I claim the Trade-Up Discount?
You may only recycle up to three products in the same transaction and you will receive only one Trade-Up Discount for each Eligible Product purchased.
When does the Appliance Trade-up offer end?
Appliance Trade-up offer ends on 31st Dec 2024.
What happens if the Recycled Product is not ready for collection?
On delivery of your new product, the delivery team will pick up your old product. If your old product is not available for collection, Samsung reserves the right to deliver your new product without collection of your old product. A new collection date will not be rearranged. A surcharge equal to the amount of the discount you received may apply.
I have decided to return my new Product for a refund. Can I get my old Recyled Product back?
In the event that you return your purchased (new) product, we will refund the value of your order but are unable to return your old product that has been recycled. Recycled products have zero value and if you return your new eligible product for a refund (for any reason) you will not receive any amount or value for:
- your recycled product; or
- for the trade in value received at the time of purchase.
Will I need to return power cable, connecting pipes, remote or any other accessories during trade-up (if applicable)?
It’s not a requirement to give the driver collecting these items but we will recycle these if requested.
What happens if the Reycled Product does not match the description as described during the purchase journey?
On delivery of your new device, our delivery team will compare the old product provided against the instructions received at the time that the transaction took place. If it does not match the description provided, our delivery team reserves the right to NOT collect the old product.
What happens to my Recycled Product once it is collected?
Our recycling partner E-Cycle Solutions (ABN 77 154 138 299) will be responsible for the disposal of your Recyled Product.

1. By proceeding with your purchase and by participating in the Samsung Trade-up (“Program”), you accept the following:
(a) The trade in discount “Trade-Up Discount” you receive is an incentive to recycle an old eligible product (“Recycled Product”) and to purchase a new Samsung appliance, monitor, speaker or television as applicable (“Eligible Product”) in the one transaction. The trade-up discount is not considered a trade-up value for the Recycled Product.
(b) Recycled Products have zero value. If you return the Eligible Product you purchased for a refund (for any reason) you will not receive any amount or value for:
i. the participating Recycled Product; or
ii. the Trade-Up Discount amount.
(c) You agree that by participating in this Program you will fully uninstall, dismount (including disconnecting and draining of water, or wiping all data) as applicable your recycled product and ensure it is ready for collection at the same time that we deliver your Eligible Product.
(d) We reserve the right to refuse the delivery of your Eligible Product if you fail to comply with these Program T&C’s. A surcharge equal to the amount of the Trade-Up Discount you received at the time of purchasing your Eligible Product will apply if you do not have your Recycled product ready at the time of delivering your Eligible Product.
