How to use Samsung Pass
Once you have set up your Samsung Pass, you can now log in to websites and apps using Samsung Pass. Open the Samsung Internet app and access a website that requires a login. After logging in to your account once, you can log in automatically with the biometric information stored in Samsung Pass next time.
Step 1. From the Samsung Internet app, navigate to the website that you want to log into.
Step 2. After signing into your account, Samsung Pass will ask if you want to save your account information. Tap Remember.
Step 3. The next time you sign into the website, all you have to do is scan your biometrics instead of filling in your account information.
Note: Samsung Pass only works with Samsung Internet and other supported apps.
If you no longer need Samsung Pass, you can simply deactivate it. For security, Samsung Pass data can be reset to the initial settings and all data including biometric data will be deleted.
Note:
- You may need to sign in again to sync your data and use Samsung Pass.
- Samsung Pass can be used seamlessly on up to 5 mobile devices. If you use the same Samsung account on a new or additional device, the list of saved websites and IDs/passwords will be synced. However, fingerprints must be re-registered on each device.
- Samsung Pass is safe. Samsung Pass encrypts biometric information and stores it in the Trust Zone, the most secure space on Samsung phones. The biometric information is stored in the phone because the public key of the registered biometric is used to authenticate the website.
- In order to use Samsung Pass, at least one fingerprint must be registered.
- If all registered fingerprints are removed, Samsung Pass will be deactivated. To reactivate Samsung Pass on your phone, verification of your Samsung account password may be required. At least one fingerprint must be registered to use Samsung Pass after reactivation.
- Even if you change your username or password on a website, Samsung Pass will not automatically update the information. You will need to go on Samsung Pass and select Web Login Information. Choose the website and information you would like to edit.
- If you delete data from Samsung Pass, biometric data and web login information stored in Samsung Pass will be deleted. Your Samsung account will remain active for the period of time stated in the terms and conditions.
