4G is significantly faster than 3G but occasional lags and buffering made it imperfect, lacking the bandwidth to meet the growing demands of the data-hungry masses.
4G LTE
Gaining speed
The advancements of 4G LTE provided the speed to support rich gaming platforms, HD mobile TV, and video conferencing. Yet, there is still some lag and dropped calls, making for less-than-ideal video chatting.

In 2019, Samsung introduced its first line of 5G-Ready devices, capable of providing streaming, downloading, and browsing at 3x the speed of 4G.
