How to install your Samsung washer and dryer pedestals
Give your washer and dryer a lift! Add a pedestal or riser to both appliances to make it more comfortable to load and unload laundry. It will also make it harder for small children to reach inside the washer or dryer. You can find available pedestals and risers on our website.
Caution: Do not attempt to perform this installation alone. Doing so could result in serious injuries. Samsung recommends having two or more people perform this installation.
Install the pedestal
Note: The FlexWash and FlexDry models use a riser instead of a traditional 27 inch or 30 inch pedestal. They are similar, but not as tall and do not include a storage drawer.
Before you get started, make sure you have the correct pedestal or riser for your model. You can search for your model's compatible pedestal or riser on the Samsung Parts website. If you don't know your washer or dryer's model number, it is usually located on the rim behind the door, or on the top of the backside. Screws or other replacement parts for the pedestal can be purchased there as well.
You'll also need to have the supplied spanner wrench, a Phillips head screwdriver, and a level, as well as all the included hardware listed in the instructions sheet.
To start, level the pedestal. Place the level on all four sides and then adjust the legs with the supplied spanner wrench.
Open the drawer of the pedestal to allow the front leg clamps to open completely. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the screws holding each of the four leg clamps.
Finally, open all four leg clamps.
Now you're ready to attach the pedestal. With the help of another person, lean the washer or dryer backward until it is laying down flat on its back.
Verify that the plastic feet installed on the washer or dryer are completely tightened. With help, tilt the washer or dryer upright. Lift the washer or dryer onto the pedestal, making sure the feet on the washer or dryer align with the clamps on the pedestal.
Verify that each foot on the washer or dryer is fully seated in the clamps on the pedestal. Now you're good to go.
