The accuracy of the SmartThings Tracker might fluctuate slightly based on the mobile network quality. Despite these potential variations, the tracker maintains an impressive 90% accuracy rate in estimated locations. This high level of precision allows you to have peace of mind regarding the whereabouts of your loved ones.
The process involves the SmartThings tracker transmitting data to the Samsung Cloud, which then relays this information to your SmartThings app through your mobile network. Consequently, the strength of your mobile signal can affect the preciseness of the location estimates. For instance, GPS signals can be weaker in densely populated areas, leading to slight variations in location accuracy.

Navigating Geofence zone inaccuracies
The Geofence feature is designed to keep you informed about the movements of your loved ones by sending notifications when they enter or exit a designated area. Should there be a delay in receiving an alert—for example, if you expect your child to enter a Zone by 8 a.m. but haven't yet received a notification—there's no need for immediate concern.
