Samsung dishwasher water supply requirements

Supply line: This item is not included with your dishwasher purchase but is available at most hardware stores, such as Lowes or Home Depot. Plumbing supply stores offer water supply lines in various lengths, up to 10 feet long. A stainless steel supply line is recommended for its durability. Issues with the supply line could result in error codes or blinking lights on your dishwasher.

Water temperature: For optimal cleaning and drying performance, your hot water supply should range from 120-149°F. Inconsistencies in water temperature could lead to error codes or blinking lights on your dishwasher.

Water pressure: Your water supply's pressure should be within 20-120 psi (pounds per square inch). A water pressure below 20 psi may lead to the failure of the water supply valve and prevent it from shutting off properly.

Elbow: A 90-degree elbow, necessary for connecting the water line to the dishwasher, is not included with your purchase but can be acquired separately. This elbow should have a 1/2-inch NPT (National Pipe Thread Taper) on one end and a 3/8-inch compression fitting on the other.

Ensure the water supply shut-off valve is easily accessible.

Shut off the valve if the dishwasher will not be used for a week or longer.

Regularly inspect for leaks at the hose connection to the water supply shut-off valve.
